Dr. Uma Fogueri-Kulkarni is a pharmaceutical scientist, educator, and scientific strategist with expertise spanning oncology drug development, translational research, biomarker strategy, pharmacokinetics, and scientific communications. Her career has bridged academia, regulatory consulting, and the biopharmaceutical industry, enabling her to translate complex scientific discoveries into strategic insights that support innovation across oncology and the life sciences.

Her passion for scientific research began in Goa, India, where, during her undergraduate studies in pharmaceutical sciences, she conducted research at the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), one of India’s leading scientific research institutions. Inspired by a family friend and neighbor who was a scientist at NIO, she developed a fascination with scientific questions and the process of using research to generate evidence-based answers. This formative experience laid the foundation for a career dedicated to scientific discovery, innovation, and advancing human health through research.

Dr. Fogueri-Kulkarni’s passion for scientific research began in Goa, India, during her undergraduate studies in pharmaceutical sciences. She conducted research at the National Institute of Oceanography (NIO), one of India’s premier scientific institutions.
